El Omega Speedmaster se presentó en 1957, con el primer modelo, el CK 2915, impulsado por el calibre 321. El Speedmaster Professional, conocido normalmente como Moonwatch, es la versión más famosa. Es un cronógrafo de carga manual de 42 mm, y Buzz Aldrin llevó uno en la Luna durante el Apolo 11. Desde 1968 empleó el calibre 861, que más tarde evolucionó hasta el 1861, y en 2021 el 3861, con escape coaxial y certificación Master Chronometer, sustituyó al 1861. The OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award has been created to mark the 45th anniversary of Apollo 13 – NASA’s “successful failure”. This limited edition timepiece is distinguished by the silver Snoopy medallion set on the enamelled caseback. Decorating the dial is the inscription “What could you do in 14 seconds?” - a nod to the 14-second mid-course correction that Apollo 13 astronauts timed with their OMEGA Speedmaster Professionals.
